LEAVING
A LEGACY
It
is time for public employees and their agencies to regain the
community trust and spirit that once were the most fundamental
elements of public service.
John Luthy - Leaving
a Leadership Legacy,
Public Management
Magazine, September 2000
In the five years since John Luthy published his first Leaving
A Legacy article, there has been a growing awareness in the value,
dedication,
and overwhelming contribution of public employees. The National
Leaving A Legacy Movement was created by John Luthy and continues
to be the
topic of many keynotes, on-site seminars, and special leadership
development programs.
If you are an elected public official or manager at any level,
the concept of building service-minded teams that promote entirely
new
levels of efficiency, productivity, and quality may hold great
value. The emphasis on Leaving A Legacy will continue. We are
proud to be
part of it.
